Birding Walk Group
The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne (RBGM) is full of incredible birdlife. The Birding Group is for everyone interested in birds of the RBGM and their conservation. The Birding Group will be seasonal in 2026 not monthly. A guide will accompany you through the walks with tips and informative content so you can discover the magical world of birds.
The Birding group will meet at The Rose Pavilion.
The guide will take participants around the Gardens and Ornamental Lake for about an hour and a half.
To join the Birding Walk Group you need to be a member of the Friend
2026 dates.
- Saturday 18 April – 9.30am to 11am with Lynsey Poore (autumn)
- Saturday 18 July – 9.30am to 11am with Paul Taylor (winter)
- Other dates for spring and summer 2026 will be published later in the year.
