Beginner's Workshops and Classes in Botanic Art

  • Learn how to paint flowers and plants, known as Botanic Art or Botanical Illustration
  • These intensive courses are an introduction to botanical art via pencil and watercolour
  • Students will begin to develop skills in outline drawing, foreshortening, tonal work and rendering of surfaces, basic colour work and paint application
  • The cost of the course includes equipment to be used during the workshop - drawing materials, paint, watercolour paper and brushes; and morning and afternoon tea
  • We strongly recommend that students who are new to botanical illustration complete a Beginners’ Workshop prior to entering Term Classes
